The objective of the One Year Master in Creative Design is to enable participants to exercise the profession.
The Master in Creative Design lasts one year, from the first week of September until the end of May.
The Master is aimed at people who have already learnt the basics of the Designer's profession and in particular it is designed for:
- people who have studied in other Design Institutes - at least two years;
- final-year ungraduates or graduates in Architecture, Industrial or Engineering;
- people who have had working experiences as Art Director or Designer in Companies or Offices.
Enrolment in Master can be obtained after a successful interview, the results of which are binding in terms of acceptance of the registration application.
During the Master of Scuola Italiana Design Students do not do their internship in a company, as it is not certain that they are properly supervised. The Students of Master specialize in the seat of Institute. The Master recreates a real professional environment where Students, supervised by the Teaching Staff, develop projects on themes assigned by real companies which have need and necessity connected to the world of industry.
For every single project the Representatives of the Companies assign the themes to be developed. This is followed by the implementation of the research method, the creative method, the design, with regular checks of the progress on a schedule arranged with the Representatives, either at School or on the Companies' premises.
Group work activities favour the comparison and the exchange of experience; every Student has to be able to express their professional abilities through the full development of individual projects, furnished with the necessary explanatory and illustrative works.
Every Student presents the projects directly to the Representatives of the Company. In this way Students get used to the direct contact with the professional figuers they will meet in future interviews.
Until now Scuola Italiana Design has developed projects for more than 150 small, medium and large companies, such as: ALFA ROMEO, APRILIA, ARNEG, BENETTON, CHICCO-ARTSANA, DéLONGHI, DIESEL, ELECTROLUX, FERRERO, FIAT, FISCHER,HAUSBRANDT, INVICTA-DIADORA, LA PALMA, LAGOSTINA, LEITNER, MAGIS, STUDIO BLU per NICE, NORDICA, POLTRONA FRAU, SAFILO, SALVAGNINI, VALIGERIA RONCATO, VIMAR, WHIRLPOOL, ZIGNAGO VETRO.
PROGRAMME OF STUDY
The programme of ONE YEAR MASTER IN CREATIVE DESIGN is made up by 400 hours of lesson and by the following subjects:
Project 1: 44 hours
Project 2: 44 hours
Project 3: 44 hours
Project 4: 44 hours
Project 5: 44 hours
Project 6: 44 hours
Project 7: 40 hours
Professional Optimization: meetings with experts: 32 hours
Web Design (Flash): 64 hours
Students, who directly enrol in One Year Master and get pass marks at the end of the year, receive the Diploma in Creative Design issued by Scuola Italiana Design.
Italian is the official language but speaking English Students are also admitted.
ENTRY FEE
The annual entry fee (2010-2011) for UE citizens is Euro 4.200 (VAT included).
The annual entry fee (2010-2011) for non-UE citizens is Euro 6.000 (VAT included).
The annual entry fee is supposed to be Euro 8.400 (VAT included), but the Galileo Science and Technology Park, that controls Scuola Italiana Design, offers to UE Students an unconditional scholarship equal to 50% of the annual entry fee and to non-UE Students an unconditional scholarship equal to ca. 30% of the annual entry fee.
Since The GALILEO Science and Technology Park is a non profit institution, the annual entry fee, thanks to the above mentioned scolarship, is kept down into affordable amounts to grant UE Students the access to a high-quality Design formative project.

Pre-enrolment in ONE YEAR MASTER IN CREATIVE DESIGN is already opened.
Enrolment (with the payment of the annual entry fee) will be opened from May 11, 2010 until August 27, 2010.
Places are limited. The first 54 Students, who enrol by paying the annual entry fee, are admitted.
