Back 4 the Future to support the fight against Parkinson's

3/10/2011 | Los Angeles, USA.  Do you remember at least a small piece of the trilogy of “Back to the Future”?
And... do you remember the shoes that Marty McFly wear in the second epidosde, when he projects himself in the year 2015?
Well, the futuristic model of Nike worn by Michael J. Fox in that film is now a reality!

Back 4 The Future is the name of a unique campaign promoted by the Michael J. Fox Foundation in collaboration with the famous USsportswearbrand,in order to raise funds for the research into Alzheimer’s disease.
During the first days of last September, 22 years later than Back to the Future Part II, Nike Air Mag has been presented in Los Angeles. It’s a very limited series of 1510 specimens, in all respects identical to the shoes seen in the film.
An only disappointment for the fans: the shoes don’t have the “power laces” - the self-fasten device that makes them really special in the film - but maybe there will be something special planned for 2015... at the end, we’re still in 2011!

The charity auction on Ebay for the sale of the Mags lasted just a few days, grossing nearly 5.7 million dollars, that will be donated for research.
Hopefully this time Marty McFly will be really able to change the future!
