Institute and Kielce are united by the design

11/7/2012 | KIELCE, POLAND.  Scuola Italiana Design in Kielce: exactly three months after the visit of Institute of Fine Arts of that city to Padua (March 22nd), our institute returned it on June 22nd. The occasion was the opening of the new Design Centrum in Kielce!

SID took part in the meeting “Creativity-Innovation-Design”, peak of the project “The new dimension of design: marketing of knowledge”. The International Design Center in Berlin was another guest: it is about to enable the EU project “Berlin-Wielkopolska 2012”, which will provide a link between the German capital, active city in the fields of design and culture, and the region of Poznan.

For our institute, Andrea Busato presented one of SID projects, highlighting and exemplifying the design methods of our school. The teacher, at the end of the journey to Poland, also said: «It was a great experience! We can do much by joining forces, they definitely have a unique passion and energy, and they know how to convey them.» In fact, the location of the event was wonderful, the people were nice, hospitable and qualified, with a lot of opportunities to talk together. There are a lot of valuable possibilities of a cooperation between Padua and Kielce.

The official opening of the Design Centrum took place on Saturday 23rd at Castle Hill, a beautiful location for this newborn design hub. A lot of Italy attended the opening: Magis, Moroso, Alessi and Giulio Cappellini, testimonial of the event.
