«In 1999 I went in Padua to inquire about SID because I was uncertain to enrol. When I got to the school my doubts immediately disappeared when I saw the students painting and sandpapering their prototypes outdoors and dirtying a bit everywhere during a modeling lesson. I thought: “If nobody says anything about, this is the right way to work and this is the right place to let our own fantasy out” and I enrolled.»
(Stefano Traverso, graduated at SID in 2001)

1. Introduction and goals
