What is

This is an experiential journey through the Three-Year BA in Design and Communication at SID Scuola Italiana Design.

You will meet SID Teachers, Students and Alumni (Graduates), see labs, projects and workshops that have enabled SID to distinguish itself over these 33 years.

You will learn about the 5 training areas: product, communication, multimedia, management and humanities.

Program

10:00 A.M. – WELCOME

10:15 – 10:30 – INTRODUCTION TO THE THREE-YEAR COURSE

The structure of the three-year pathway, subject areas, and new features coming with the transfer

(duration: 15 minutes)

10.35 – 10.50 – PRODUCT DESIGN AND PROTOTYPING

Modeling, Tinkering, Digital Drawing, Technical Drawing, Product Design and Physical Prototyping.

(duration: 15 minutes)

10.55 – 11.10 – COMMUNICATION DESIGN

Visual Design, Typography, Editorial Design, portfolio building and end-of-course projects.

(duration: 15 minutes)

11:15 – 11:30 A.M. – DIGITAL DESIGN

UI/UX, Web Design, Motion Graphic and AR and VR.

(duration: 15 minutes)

11:35 A.M. – 11:50 A.M. – CO-DESIGN WORKSHOPS AND CAMPS

Third-year projects in collaboration with businesses, intensive workshops and project camps.

(duration: 15 minutes)

11:55 A.M. – 12:05 P.M. – ALUMNI

A face-to-face discussion with those who have already completed the course and now work as designers in different fields.

(duration: 10 minutes)

12.05 – 12.15 – CONCLUSION

Careers, admission methods, costs and initiatives.

(duration: 10 minutes)

12:20 – 1:00 P.M. – SID, NEXT

You will be able to freely engage with current students, alumni and faculty, ask questions, listen to real experiences, gather advice and feel the atmosphere that animates our school.

(duration: 40 minutes)

Where ?

The event will not be held at the Corso Stati Uniti location, but at Le Village by CA Triveneto, in Piazza Giacomo Zanellato, 23-35131PD

The reason? SID’s long-awaited move to its new headquarters is underway. The spaces are not yet fully operational, but we still want to offer you a first glimpse of the future: that’s why the Open Day will be held on the premises of our partners at Le Village – adjacent to the new headquarters – and will end with a special moment right inside the new building, to experience it together in preview, even though it is still “in the works.”

SID, Next - Dialogue Break

During the Open Days, in addition to presentations and informational activities, there is a special time dedicated to the break, an informal opportunity to learn more about SID.

Over coffee and snacks, participants can chat freely with students, faculty and former students, asking questions, listening to experiences and discovering the more authentic side of the school. This relaxed discussion space allows them to delve into curiosities about their education, projects and professional opportunities, in a welcoming atmosphere without formality.
