A.Data controller

The Data Controller for all personal data collected processed in connection with the operation of the website www.scuolaitalianadesign.com (the “Site”) of Scuola Italiana Design (SID), is Parco Scientifico e Tecnologico Galileo S.c.p.A. In this Notice we will also refer to you as a “Data Subject,” that is, a person to whom the personal data collected relates.

B. Processed data

The following data are collected through the Site:

– Navigation data

The Site’s computer systems collect some personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with you, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow you to be identified. These include:

  • IP address;
  • URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the requested resources;
  • The time and date of interaction with the Site;
  • the type of operating system, browser used, screen resolution, and other technical information about the device being used.

– Data disclosed voluntarily (e.g., name, e-mail address, billing information)

They are used, in compliance with applicable regulations, for the purposes indicated in the relevant form and further specified in this Notice. The provision of the requested data is necessary for the Holder to perform the contracted services. The data you communicate must refer to you or to third parties who have expressly authorized you to give them, and in that case, by communicating them, you assume the relevant obligations and responsibilities.

C. Purpose of processing and legal basis

For all occasions when Galileo Park processes your data, there is a legal basis for processing it.

Sometimes we need your consent to process personal data, such as to allow the installation of profiling cookies or to send you newsletters.

At other times, when the law permits and subject to the respect of your fundamental rights, Galileo Park is not required to ask for your consent to process the data. This occurs when data are processed for a legal obligation or as a result of a request you have made by making contact with Galileo Park and/or requesting certain services.

Failure to provide the data indicated as “mandatory” in each form may make it impossible to respond to your request or fulfill a legal obligation to which Galileo Park is bound.

– Data entered in “Request Information”, “Company Application” and any other forms:

Purposes: (1) those specific ones indicated in each form; (2) for sending promotional communications.

– Data contained in e-mail communications sent to addresses listed on the Site:

Purpose: To respond to your requests.

– Data collected via cookies:

Purposes: (1) if it is technical or analytical cookies, to keep track of your visits to the Site and how you have used it, so that we can improve our services; (2) if it is profiling cookies, the data collected with your prior consent will also be processed by third parties listed in the
Cookie Policy
and used to show you advertisements of your interest on this Site and other companies’ sites; if you do not accept them, you may still see advertisements, but not related to your interests.

D. Data retention time

– Data entered in forms: for as long as necessary to respond to user requests. Where necessary, for the time required to comply with legal obligations or for the establishment, exercise or defense of one’s rights in court

– Contact information (first name, last name, e-mail address) for sending promotional communications: until consent is revoked

– Data contained in e-mail communications sent to the addresses indicated on the Site: for the time necessary to respond to user requests. Where necessary, for the time required to comply with legal obligations or for the establishment, exercise or defense of one’s rights in court

– Data collected through cookies: until the end of each session or until the end of the retention period provided for each type of cookie, as specified in our Cookie Policy, unless consent is revoked.

At the end of the retention period, personal data will be deleted automatically or anonymized permanently and non-reversibly.

E. Recipients and categories of recipients

Your e-mail address may be disclosed to the newsletter service provider with your consent.

Your data may be accessed, in particular:

– Individuals authorized by us to process, who have committed to confidentiality or have an appropriate legal obligation of confidentiality;

– those involved in the maintenance of the Site and our legal or tax advisors, as Autonomous Data Processors or Controllers.

If you accept third-party cookies, the data they collect will be shared with the parties listed in our Cookie Policy.

The Site incorporates links to social media accounts of the Data Controller in order to allow easy access to content disseminated through them. These are simply links to social networking platforms and no data is disclosed to these platforms through the Site. The collection and use of information obtained from social networks is governed by the relevant privacy policies, which we ask you to refer to.

F. Rights of the data subject and complaint to the supervisory authority

We will always ensure you have control over your personal information.

In particular, you are entitled to:

– Request information about your personal data processed by Galileo Park and request copies in a structured, readable format;

– Not be subjected to automated decisions unless you consent to them;

– Ask the Data Controller to correct data referable to you that is incorrect, to delete it, or to use it only for certain purposes;

– change your mind and ask us to stop using your information, for example by disabling third-party cookies or deleting your account.

Keep in mind, however, that in some limited cases we will not be able to fulfill your requests, such as in cases where we are prohibited from doing so by law or by order of an Authority.

The above rights may be exercised by written communication to be sent by e-mail, PEC or registered letter A/R to the addresses of the Data Controller.

You have in any case the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali) if you believe that the processing of your personal data is contrary to current legislation.

G. Transfer of data to third countries

We store your data in servers located in Italy or otherwise within the European Union. Data collected through third-party cookies may be transferred to third countries in accordance with our Cookie Policy and the third parties’ Privacy Policies.
