Believe... believing in the days of COVID - SID

Brief

The request was to devise and design a symbolic, intuitive, easy-to-make, and meaningful object for any new need born of the pandemic we are still experiencing.

Project

The particle

In the church, because of COVID-19, putting the priest in contact with a person to deliver the particle became a dangerous act with the risk of infection. As a solution, a transparent plastic bag containing the particle was devised. This ensures that the priest does not have to be in close contact with the person to deliver it, but at the same time the faithful can receive it safely.

The sachet has an adhesive on the top so that when folded it adheres to the back. When open it has a rectangular shape of 7 cm wide and 10 cm high; when closed it takes on a square shape of 7 x 7 cm. On the inside, however, the particle has a circular shape of 4 x 4 cm. The fact that the sachet is transparent ensures that the host can be seen from the outside, but it also ensures that this protection is not intrusive and is perceived as little as possible so that the communion does not lose its value.

The holy water

Religious practices also need changes and innovations for safety reasons related to the pandemic.
Since it is no longer possible to draw from the stoup in the church today, disposable vials of holy water have therefore been created while maintaining current safety standards for preventing the spread of the virus.

Each bottle contains the right amount of holy water for each person ensuring its safe and hygienic use; a sticker is also placed to characterize the single dose.
